He was predeceased by: his parents, Major William B. Johnston and Judith A McGregor Johnston of Dawson Springs. He is survived by: his wife Kayla Daniel Johnston of Dawson Springs; his sons, Jeffrey D. Johnston and William B. Johnston II (April) of Fort Bliss, TX; his sisters, Lisa A. Winfrey (John) of Lawrenceburg, KY, Lori A. Vaughn (Jay) of Dawson Springs and Julie A. Palmer (Bill) of Cape Girardeau, MO; and his grandchildren, Adelynn and Daniel Johnston. He is also survived by two nieces and seven nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home (2285 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
