He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Hoard and Rosa Pearl Hopper Hoard; his son Gary Kim Hoard; his siblings, Ruth Moore, Albert Hoard and Hubert Hoard; his stepdaughter Anna Ruth Hall; and his stepgranddaughter Lisa McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Orten Hoard of Dawson Springs, KY; his son Rev. David Hoard (Jacqueline) of Dawson Springs, KY; his stepdaughter Dortha McBride of Crofton, KY; his grandchildren, Nathan Hoard, Emmaleigh Russell and Stephen Hoard; and his great grandchildren, Asher Russell and Felix Russell. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren and step-great great grandchildren.
