He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawson Payne and Anita Payne; and his son Troy Payne. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Payne of Dawson Springs, KY; and his children, Kim Queen (Jeff) of Evansville, IN and Bill Payne (Misty) of Dawson Springs, KY. He is also survived by children; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
