She was predeceased by: her husband David Leon Hawkins; her parents, James Griffett and Gladys Abner Griffett; and her brothers, James Griffett Jr., A. C. Griffett, Douglas Griffett and Michael Griffett.
She is survived by: her children, Starlena Babb, Cheryl Brewer (Ronnie), Anthony Hawkins (Haley) and Mark Hawkins (Sherry); and her siblings, Rose Helton (Johnny), Bobby Griffett, Danny Griffett (Jeannie), Lanny Griffett (Sandy), Stevie Griffett (Charlotte) and Billy Griffett. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
