We bid farewell to William Duke of Danville, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 27, 2024 at the age of 83. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Duke, Sr. and Marie Geneva Curtis Toomey; and his sisters, Little Vicky Duke and Mary Jean Works. He is survived by: his wife Emile Atwood Duke of Danville; his children, Mark Duke (Pamela) of Nicholasville, Johnny Duke of Lexington, Mary Ann Cheatham (Tim) of Bowling Green and Mae Berryman (Buddy) of Danville; his stepdaughters, Vicky Ayers (Kenneth) of Lexington, Nancy Minor-Worley (Paul) of Danville and Debra Whaley of Danville; and his siblings, Elsie Marie Sowder of Georgetown, Elizabeth Cole of Clay City, Mike Duke (Donna), Joe Duke and Randy Duke of Lexington. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home (5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
