He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Smitson (Mattox) and Elmer Smitson; and his brother Eugene. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smitson (Mann); and his children, Lisa Jenks, Sheila Cohen (Flip), Steve Smitson (Susan), David Hinsch (Inna) and Jonathan Hinsch. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
