She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Alvis and Elsie Day (Northcutt); her husband Robert E. Powell of Danville; her brother James O. Day; and her sons-in-law, Harrison Underhill and Roy Wells.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Virginia's memory to the Menifee County Library, as it was an organization close to her heart.
