It has been a half century since then, but the memories are as fresh as the songs we sung every day. Once music touches the soul and spirit, it never dies. “I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I really missed seeing Rob at the last several high school reunions. I always thought about seeing him because I finally started singing professionally and I wanted to share a tune or two with him at one of the reunions. Rob had such a beautiful voice, I'm disappointed we never sang together He is in heaven now, and I know I will join him again and we will be sharing our voices together in the glorious choir. “A sad time for us all! Rob was a great friend and colleague during Glenbard days. I enjoyed so much singing with him in the choir and musicals.. I connected briefly with him on Facebook about 8 or 9 years ago, where he mentioned he wasn’t singing anymore . . . what a shame for such a wonderful voice to not be heard. I love listening to our choir records where we soloed together. I put together a video of our Guys and Dolls from Senior year. What memories!!! Prayers for the family. Frank Marsala”
