He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bruce and Barbara Smith Johnson; and his children, Barbara, Larry, Jr. and Jaquan Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Bruce of Campbellsville, KY; his children, Tanisha Bruce of Campbellsville, KY, Dwight Simpson of Danville, KY and Alexander Penman of Nicholasville, KY; his siblings, Kim Bruce Dent (Austin), Angel Bruce Jones (Jim), Michael Hughes Danville (Brenda) and Danny Patterson of Lenoir, NC; and his sister-in-law Norma Bruce of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
