He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennett, and Myrtle Bennett, Sr.; his wife Pearl Bennett; his son Larry Wayne Bennett; his son-in-law Ralph Culp; and his grandson Thomas McFarland Mattingly.
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn Culp, Tom Bennett (Judy), Norma Dampier (Ronald) and Vivian Maupin (Roger); his brother Vernon Bennett (Pam); his grandchildren, Holly Pennebaker, Emily Renee Slusher (Dewayne), Johnathan Maupin, Heather Amos (Brad), Danielle Hatfield, Samantha Bennett and Craig Foley (Shawn); and his great grandchildren, Maryfaith Slusher, Isaiah Slusher, Dean Maupin, Breanna Layne, Sam Amos, Graydon Amos, Trinity Rechenbach, Briar Rose, Alanna Bennett and Anna Foley.
Memorial donations are suggested to Gethsemane Baptist Church.
