He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Tommy and Eloise Letton; his nephews, Jeremy Letton and Blake Letton; and his parents, John James and Inez Renee Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Letton Thornton of Danville; his daughters, Alyssa Young (Chris) of Lexington and Ashley Thornton of Lancaster; his brother-in-law Les Letton (Lynn); his nephew Patrick Letton (Courtney); his great-nephews, Tanner and Oliver; and his great-niece Eloise. He is also survived by child, and an only grandchild on his maternal side, his parents and grandparents.
