He is survived by: his daughters, Shanna Powell, Erica Gentry, Courtney Powell and Maribeth Powell; his grandchildren, Madilin Cooper and Dawsin Cooper; his siblings, Sherry Courtney, Betty Ricker and Roger Dale Powell; and his nephews, James Powell, Isaac Abney, Malaki Abney, Noah Abney and Elijah Abney.
