He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel Edgar and Flossie Ellen Colyer Nicholas; his wife Gelea Bradley Nicholas; his siblings, Loraine Lewis (Roland), James Cecil Nicholas (Anne), Virginia Shelton (Lloyd), Delia Margaret Nicholas, Georgia Stout (Clyde) and Ruby Bolin (Glen); and his son-in-law Clyde Rogers Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Virginia "Lou" Rogers; his grandchildren, Clyde E. Rogers Jr. (Lisa) and Missy Angolia (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Chessie Elizabeth Rogers and Madeline Jean Angolia.
