She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Whitis and Mattie Baird Whitis; her daughter Betty Jo Ellis; her siblings, Bobby, Ralph, Tommy Whitis and Luvian Cochran; and her husband Jack.
She is survived by: her sister Jean Ann Case (Tommy) of Danville; her grandchildren, Michele Lakes (Johnny) of Mercer County, Laura Beth Maynard (Nick) of Arizona, Jennifer Henson (Tyler) of Richmond and Matthew Ellis of Stanford; her great grandchildren, Chase Marshall (Ja'lisa), Jackson Lakes, Will Henson, Mia Ellis, Riley Henson, Brynn Henson, Henry Maynard and Jenna Coyle (Eric); her caregivers, Joyce Johnson, Jan Whitis, Karen Jones and Chris Cooper; and also, Braxton and Sawyer. She is also survived by Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
