He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Sr. Chambers and Effie Deaton Chambers; his siblings, Viola Beckett and Curtis Chambers Jr.; and his grandsons, Jeremy Todd Chambers, William Chambers and Isaac Chambers.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Rose Chambers; his children, James Thomas Chambers (Vicki) and Kim Perraut (Tony); his siblings, James Chambers, Geneva Hamilton, Connie Dietz, Charlotte Chambers and Carolyn Traylor; and his grandchildren, Cara Beth Kiskaden and Sydney Barnes. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
