It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norene Haynes of Cynthiana, Kentucky, born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Haynes; her parents, Henry Green and Julia Kirk Green; and her grandson Stephen Howard. She is survived by: her children, Michael Lee Whitley (Sharon) of Woodford County, Mona Gayle Whitley of Cynthiana and Julie Howard (Steve) of Opelika, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Lisa Doan (Brad), Matthew Whitley (Anna Lora), Megan Whitley, Lacey Kizziah and Clay Howard (Regina). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several special step-children.
