He is survived by: his son Carl Edward Purnell Jr. Bell; his siblings, Charles Gross (Dina), John Gross (Tania), Samuel Gross, Mark Gross (Evelyn), Wilbur Gross (Joy), Tina Lewis (Keith), Mary Gross and Valerita Raglin (Elder Kurt); his aunts and uncles, Jean McKelvey, Nancy Dickens, Doris Purnell, Earleen Floyd, Patricia Walker, Rosa Newby (Kenneth), Dorothy Boyers, Cynara Boyers, Elder Melvin Gross (Marcia), Joe Gross (Ruth Ann) and Theodore Taylor (Frances); and his grandchildren, Antwan Bell (Jaklynn Bell) and Candi Hicks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
