He is survived by: his children, Tanya Lou Thomas of Cynthiana, Bobby E. Thomas, Jr. (Patricia) of Georgetown and James S. Thomas (Lea) of Lexington; his grandson Liam James Thomas; and his siblings, Mary Lee Mahlerwein and Dan Wilhelm.
