He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Rowland; his parents, Leland Rowland and Era Samples Rowland; his stepmother Gertrude Henderson Rowland; and his siblings, Edwin Rowland, Cecil Rowland, Eugene Henderson, Reba Rials, Dorothy Gorham, Virginia Toon and Doris Hobbs.
He is survived by: his children, Abby Rowland of Mayfield and Chad Rowland of Mayfield. He is also survived by two granddaughters, and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
