He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornell Thomason and Gazel Jones Thomason; his daughter-in-law Lesia Thomason; his brother F. A. Thomason; and his great grandchild Grae Davis Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Campbell Thomason; his children, Benita Davis (Jeff) of Cunningham and Bob Thomason (Diana) of Gilbertsville; his granddaughters, Wendy Wilson (Brandon), Brooke Kelly (Scotty), Sanda Fisher (Brandon) and Leandra Thomason; his great grandchildren, Kase, Knox, Crew, Rhodes, Graedy Kelly, Hudson, Roxie, Esther, Abraham Wilson, Cambell Fisher and Ford Fisher; his sister-in-law Carrie Mae Thomason of Paducah; and his niece Janice Clark (Garry) of Paducah.
