She was predeceased by: her parents, Wildrew Cottongim and Nova Childers Cottongim; her husband Cecil Thomas Meece; her children, Linda Strunk and Charles Meece; her son-in-law Bruce Sears; her siblings, Edzel Cottongim, Dorwin Cottongim, Leroy Cottongim, Ruby Hinkle, Mary Tarter and Sthelma Haynes; her grandchildren, Jerome Tyler Sears and Stephanie Sears; and her great grandchildren, Raylynne Davis and Jerome Sears.
She is survived by: her children, David Meece (Patty) and Beverly Sears; her son-in-law Larry Strunk; her brother Gary Cottongim (Thelma); and her grandchildren, Kim Meece, Scott Meece, Misty Strunk, Erica Hatter (Andy), Trent Sears, Kisha Burton (Waylon), Reuben Sears (Angela Russell) and Brandon Sears (Ashonda). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
