He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Fields Pennington; his parents, Jasper Pennington and Cassie Kelly Pennington; his son Jeffery Pennington; and his siblings, Ronnie Pennington and Helen Smith.
He is survived by: his son Jim Pennington (Renee) of Cumberland; his siblings, Roy Pennington (Cora) of Cumberland and Jeanette Hendricks (Bill) of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Jimmy Pennington (Leslie), Lucas Pennington (Shelley), Ginger Pendleton (Justin Tubbs) and Taylor Pennington; and his great grandchildren, Gladys, Hunter, Jayce and Emily.
