She was predeceased by: her parents, Calloway Shepherd and Maggie Cornett Shepherd; her husband Johnny Coots; and her siblings, Claudine Browning, Rena Faye Fouts, JC Crace, Roberta Halcomb, Jack Shepherd, Bill Shepherd and Estil Shepherd.
She is survived by: her close friend Cleo Cress; her daughter Margaret Coots; her granddaughters, Charity Brashears (Justin) and Patience Caudill (Kendal); and her great grandchildren, Jace Brashears of Cumberland, Jacob Brashears of Cumberland and Axel Caudill of Cumberland.
