It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Sturgill Dixon of Cumberland, Kentucky, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodney Sturgill and Mary Elizabeth Sturgill (Kilbourne) of Eolia, KY; her parents-in-law, Bill and Viola Dixon; and her grandchildren, Raeleigh Deal, Beckett Dixon and Hallie Dixon.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Dixon of Hiram, KY; her children, Ashleigh Deal (Josh) of Cynthiana, KY and Jordan Dixon (Chelsea) of Cumberland, KY; her brother Wayne Sturgill (Connie) of Whitesburg, KY; and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jared, Spencer of Billy Joe, JD, Destiny and Carla.
