He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Banks and Gertrude Tomlinson Banks; his foster parents, Ercell Banks and Rebecca Ann Maggard Banks; his grandparents, Jim and Mary Raleigh Banks; his brother Jimmy Glen Banks; and his brother-in-law Willard Blake.

He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Blake of Cumberland and Virginia Gilley of Columbus, IN.
