He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shelby and Elva McKnight Shelby; his wife Joyce Shelby; and his siblings, Harold, Carol, Alfred, Mack, Evelyn and Margaret.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Brashears (Golden) of Totz and Melinda Eldridge (Tim) of Cumberland; his grandson Ben Brashears (Misty); and his children, Chris Brashears (Sabrina), Tiffany Wilson (Brandon), Derrick Eldridge (Geneva) and Ashley Combs (Craig). He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and also a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
