She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Arthur Childress and Ida Lena Wilson Childress. She is survived by: her children, Wilma Rigdon, Herlie Childress, Aleen Stevenson, Robert A. Childress, Alvin Childress, Pauline Childress, Laverne Sally Sanders, Lilbon Childress, Wilbur Childress, Eugene Childress, Jimmy Childress and Geraldine Wood; her husband Garland Kenneth Childress; and her sister-in-law Dana Rorer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
