He is survived by: his wife Cindy Copelin Cox; his children, Brian Michael Cox, Robert Lee Cox and Amy Renee; his stepdaughter Robin Denise; and his siblings, James Robert Cox, Bradley Cox, Corbin Cox, Teresa Shook, Anna Butler, Cheryl Cox and Sandy Clark. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cherry Springs Baptist Church (5435 Boiling Springs Rd, Munfordville, KY 42765).
