It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eligie Mae Smith of Cromwell, Kentucky, born in Butler, Kentucky, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aarison Daugherty and Delia Lindsey Daugherty; her husband Clarence; and her siblings, Ruthie, Emma Grace, Delbert, Imon and Lanie Daugherty.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Moit (Larry), Rita Sandefur (David), Roger Smith (Carol), Marilyn Smith, Carolyn Gray (Jim) and Roy Smith (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Donna Baker, Bruce Crabtree, Cindy Stiff, Alicia Myers, Rusty Sandefur, Jenny Sandefur, Bryce Sandefur, Amanda Smith, Kristie West, CJ Smith, Melissa Rock, Michelle Smith, Daniel Peach, Tyler Taylor, Mandy Fulton, Eric Smith, Leanne Smith, Kaitlyn Smith and Joey Smith; and her sister Ethel Daugherty.
