He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Thomas and Vernell Thomas; his son Bobby Wayne Thomas; and his brother Jerry Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Rene; his son-in-law Michael Gregorcyk of Houston, Texas; his son Von Thomas of Houston, Texas; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Blake Gregorcyk of Austin and Kylee Thomas of Anderson.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Christian County Humane Society.
