He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Halsey and Nannie Newton Halsey; his wife Juanita Stroud Poe Halsey; his son John Richard Halsey; and his siblings, Wilson Halsey, Calvin Halsey, Cleda Halsey, Lowell Halsey, James Halsey, Alpha Wenzel, Rheda Daugherty and Harold Halsey.
He is survived by: his children, George Wesley Halsey of Norway, James Wayne Halsey (Judy) of Cincinnati, Rick Joe Mains (Brenda) of Crittenden, Elizabeth Lynn Craddock of Elsmere, Barbara Sue Kerr (Jerry) of Ft. Mitchell, Julie Ann Bryant (Tim) of Greensboro, NC and Tammy Lee Stephenson (Rodney) of Dry Ridge; and his sisters, Mary Ann Froelicher of Walton and Ruth Ewing of Florence. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
