With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie JoAnn Kennedy of Crittenden, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Jessie JoAnn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jessie JoAnn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rufus Kennedy, Jr.; her sons, Charles and David Besselman; and her sisters, Marcella Hensley and Marilyn Ford.
She is survived by: her son Rufus Kennedy III (Megan); her brother Robert Redix (late Maggie); and her grandson Wyatt Kennedy. She is also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Highland Cemetery Chapel (2167 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
