He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Powell and Ethel Powell. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Powell; his children, Allen Powell (Amber) and Robin Grattan (Tom); his grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Knopp (Shawn), Ryan Grattan (Sarah) and Katelyn Murphy (Mark); his great grandchildren, Lilah Beth Grattan, Michael, Jackson and Danielle Knopp; and his siblings, Carolyn Rankin (Jimmy), Kenny Powell (Patti), Sonny Powell (Joyce), Libby Harvey (Pearl), Thelma Dempley (June) and Betty Simmons.
The family wishes in lien of flowers donations to be made to WHAS Crusade for Children, the great charity which Louie diligently worked for so many years as Chief of the Lagrange Fire and Rescue Department.
