It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVerne Elizabeth McMahan of Crestwood, Kentucky, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gorbandt and Lizetta Gorbandt; her husband Arvel; her son Jerry; her sister Norma O'Bryan; and her brother-in-law Richard Layer.

She is survived by: her son Danny (Ann); her daughter-in-law Carol; and her grandchildren, Molly McMahan (Sunny), Christy Weaver (Matt), Bradley McMahan (Cristy) and Joseph McMahan (Angelica). She is also survived by 8 great- grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
