She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Trail and Mary Trail; her granddaughter Jessica; and her siblings, LeRoy and Bell.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Meredith (Steve) and Robbie Freeman (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Steven (Natalie), Zachary and Addie; and her siblings, Emma, Wanda (David), Lois, Donnie and Larry (Ann).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katherine's memory to The American Cancer Society.
