With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Mills of Crestwood, Kentucky, born in Casper, Wyoming, who passed away on May 17, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mills and Lois Mills; his brother-in-law Tom Haywood; his nephew Robbie Smith; and his niece Jamie Mills.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Mills; his children, Jayla Dilbeck (Shawn), Lissa Mills, Jason Mills (Jaclyn) and Logan Mills (Shelli); his grandchildren, Tucker, Taylor, Tessa Dilbeck, Ethan Woods, Lincoln, Landon and Tatum Mills; and his siblings, Jimmie Mills (Patty), Marsha Haywood, Wanda Haywood (Terry) and Jackie Thomason (Jack).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bluegrass Center for Autism, where John had planned to utilize his maintenance skills during retirement. “The memories of having John as a friend since grade school are so special! He always shared happiness with his smile and his conversations revolved around good times and anticipation of events. I'm so grateful that our GHS Class of '73 celebrated our fifty year anniversary last year and that John was on the team. Still full of life, energy, ideas, jokes, and smiles. He will be so missed by all who knew and loved him but his wonderful life will not fade from our hearts and minds. Lorna”
