He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayden and Mary Harrod (Yount); his wife Mary Charlotte Harrod (White); his daughter Charlotte White Skaggs; and his siblings, John Thomas, Robert Alfred, Richard, Burgett Sanford, Enoch Andrew, Luke, Barnett Celbert Harrod, Mary Ann Mischler, Sallie Frances Chesher, Lillie Belle Brown, Minerva Mae Terrell, Madlyn Brooks and Helen Burnes Stratton.
He is survived by: his sons, Horace Rice Harrod Jr. (Barbara) and Anthony Kent Harrod (Donna); his grandchildren, Justin Rice Harrod (Shawna), Jordan Clay Harrod (Tara) and Clay Rice; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Clay Harrod, Molly Ann Lehr, Hannah Sophia Harrod, Cooper Rice Harrod and Charlotte Palmer Harrod.
