With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derrick Shane West (Crestwood, Kentucky), born in Henderson, Kentucky, who passed away on November 11, 2019 at the age of 41. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Thomas, Juanita Watkins, Elijah West, Ray and Billie Mayes.

He is survived by: his nieces, Addison and Gracelyn; his children, Layne Marie West of Crestwood and Cohen Shane West of Crestwood; his parents, Vera Mayes of Cairo and Rickey West of Florida; his grandmother Dixie West; and his brother Eric L. West of Princeton, IN. He is also survived by cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony's Hospice.
