He was predeceased by: his parents, Took Davison and Martha Ellen Weaver Lay; and his siblings, Lester Lay, Fred Lay, Ralph Lay, Delbert Lay, Denver Lay, Oscar Roy Lay, Vernice Haverkamp, Loretta York, Mayetta Jacob and Betty Lou Lay.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Davis Lay (Norma) of Broughtontown, Jeffrey Douglas Lay (Dixie) of Broughtontown and Melodi Frances Dahl of Knoxville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brandon Dahl, Travis Lay, Lexi Lay, Jennifer Carmicle and Leah Greasley; his great grandchildren, Ada Clark, Presley Applegate, Brooklyn Crafa and Owen Greasley; and his sisters, Rose Bowers of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and Velma Yvonne Logue of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
