She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Rice and Eva Rice (Hendrickson); and her siblings, Peggy Withers, Elizabeth Bullins, Loretha Napier, Isabelle Upchurch, Eugene and William Rice.
She is survived by: her husband Clyde VanHook; her daughters, Regina Prater of Russell Springs and Rose Mink of Belleville, MI; and her siblings, Verdie Helton of Michigan, Joyce Helton (Jackie) of Michigan, Jasper Rice (Wilma) of Michigan and Franklin Odell Rice of Michigan. She is also survived by Five Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.
