We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2020, at the age of 69, Johnny Swinney of Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Swinney and Gracie Swinney (Barnes); his siblings, Gene Swinney, Irene Hopkins, Margaret King, Sue Thompson and Dessie Oaks; and his grandson Tyler Swinney.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Swinney (Johnson); his children, David Allen Swinney, Candice Swinney (Thomas Pope), Jessica Swinney (Chris Blanton) and Hayden Swinney; his sisters, Ruby Alexander and Judy Owens; his grandmother Sue Cash; and his grandchildren, Emily, David Jr., Emmitt, Rylee, Corey and Gracie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Johnny Swinney Memorial Fund in Care of of McKnight Funeral Home at P.O. Box 97 Crab Orchard, Kentucky 40419-0097.
