He was predeceased by: his father Gabe Hoskins; his son Dale Hoskins; his former wife Janet Proffitt Hoskins Frazier; and his brother Willie J. Hoskins, Sr. (Joe). He is survived by: his sons, Gabriel Hoskins (Elaine) of Louisville, Mark Hoskins of Crab Orchard and Doug Hoskins; and his brother Michael Bowen Hoskins of Danville, KY.. He is also survived by father to his sons, and a grandfather to his grandchildren.

Pallbearers Include: Tony Pike, Joe & Dougie Hoskins, Daniel Tucker, Chris Sebastian, Billy Joe and Jimmy Lee Proffitt, Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital and can be mailed to 292 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
