He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Lurlene Powers Petrey and Chester Earl Petrey, Sr.; and his siblings, Wilma Jean Mink, Tommy, Dallas and Johnny Petrey.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lynn Combs Petrey; his sons, Jerry Lynn Petrey, Jr. (Rebecca) and Christopher Lee Petrey (KaseyFive); his grandchildren, Madelynn Petrey, Tate Petrey, Millie Petrey, Reece and Rhett PetreyTwo; and his siblings, Joyce Petrey Brown, Ina Petrey ElderThree, Bobby Lee Petrey (Lois), Leroy Petrey (Irene) and Chester Earl Jr. "C. J." (Helen PetreyIn).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McKnight Funeral Home (147 Main St, Crab Orchard, KY 40419). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Pallbearers Include: Tate Petrey, Jeff Brown, Josh Brown, Zack Banks, Bo Elder, Michael Goode, & Tim Smith, In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
