He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Smith (Watson) and Homer Smith; his daughter Tina Smith Goff; his siblings, Clyde, Janelle Pass and Joyce Rogers; and his grandchildren, Michelle and Brandon Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Smith (Anna), Michael "George" Smith (Tina), Tim Smith (Stacie), Tammy (Roger Brock) and Eric Smith; his siblings, Clay Smith (Pat) and Dorothy (Lonnie Trent); and his sister-in-law Mary "Cotton" Johns. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
