He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Lou Elam (Stevens); his parents, Pearl Mae Elam (Kidwell) and James Earl Elam, Sr.; his siblings, Billy Carl, Eugene, James Earl Elam, Jr. and Barbara June Elam; his nephews, Herman Dean Elam and Jake Sims; and his niece Theresa Elam.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle (Donnie Coffey) of Mt, Desiree' of Harker Heights, TX, Andrew Scott Elam (Rita) of Mt. Vernon and Randall Leon Elam (Regina); his siblings, Rosella Halcomb, Sue (William "Tiny" Lamb), Betty and Mike Elam (Vera); his grandchildren, Angela, Tiffany, Jesse, Taylor, Tyler, Aaron and Tanner; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Owen, Maycee, Walker, Eyvind and Chesney.
