He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Atzinger Hert; his parents, William Howell Hert and Cora Mae Parsons Hert; his son Robert "Bobby" Hert; and his siblings, Jack Hert, Susie McCune and Martha Finerty.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Pittman; his grandchildren, Renee Villatoro (Adam) and Jordan Durbin (DJ); and his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jacob, Avery, Eliana, Hunter and Eliza. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Louisville Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
