She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred B. Shelburne and Betty Lucille Stone Shelburne; her husband Harry Hurst; her children, Harry Scott Hurst and Kaye Whitehead; and her siblings, Jack, Joe, Tommy, Tony, Alan Shelburne, Grace Barnes, Shirley Martin, Betty Hahn and Eleanor "Tootsie" Wahle.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Rogers (Larry) of Cox's Creek, Anne Hurst (Tony Greer) of Cox's Creek and Chris Hurst (Tracy) of Cox's Creek; her son-in-law Bill Whitehead; and her sister Wini Berthold of Florida. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
