He was predeceased by: his parents, Manson Shields and Mildred Adkins Shields; and his son Tony Shields. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Sue Meredith Shields; his daughter Karen Wolfe; his siblings, Patsy Chesser (Ricky) of Chaplin and Mike Shields (Darlene) of Chaplin; his nephews, David Shields, Michael Shields and Eric Chesser; his granddaughters, Chealse and Taylor; and his stepdaughters, Joetta Stillwell (Tim) of Oakboro, NC. and Susan Hester of Shepherdsville. He is also survived by 4 step-grandsons.
