He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. "Plug" Sanders and Wanda Sanders (Gray); and his grandparents, George, Mamie Grey, John and Stella Sanders.

He is survived by: his brothers, James Sanders Jr. of Lebanon and Christopher Shawn Sanders (Tonya) of Indianapolis; his aunts and uncles, Dorothy Grigsby (William), Sandra Rawlings (Steve), Geraldine Owens (Greg), Dorothy Williams (Terry), Geneva Bell (Charles), Terry Gray (Maryann), Donnie Gray, James Gray and William Sanders; his nieces, Contessa Douglas (Timmy) and Adia Sanders; and his nephew Olufemi Sanders.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bosley Funeral Home (246 S Proctor Knott Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
