He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Magruder and Beatrice Magruder; his brother William H. "Bill" Magruder; and his brother-in-law Paul Stinnett. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Magruder of Cox's Creek; his sister-in-law Virginia Magruder of Louisville; his nephews, Larry Magruder, David Magruder, Don Stinnett and Mark Stinnett; his friends, Larry and Brenda Bowman; and also Mary Frances Stinnett of Louisville.
